There are so many ways in which you can use a one-light photo set. The main way is just to get the light off of the camera, meaning not in line with the lens. Any time you move the light off of the same plain as the lens you make for a more dramatic photo. Tonight we decided to shoot with the light directly on Shannon but move the camera instead of the light. This gives you the feeling that you are getting to see something you aren't supposed to. It almost like you are watching a photoshoot from a hidden location, or maybe that is just my strange brain.
