My Second Nude Year Day 15

 Day 15

Today we finished work around 4:30 and took the opportunity to venture out of the house. Shannon has been dying to shoot outside. I have been so surprised that she wants to work outside because she hates the cold. Then again, it is a warm year for here. I think it was in the 60's today but the wind was very strong. The wind never blows here and it always makes for some interesting photos. There is a vacant area that will soon be a thriving commercial center not too far from our house and we wanted to shoot there while we still have a chance. They recently started to build a few buildings on the property and it will be full by the end of summer most likely. At the end of summer, the owner bailed the empty field in preparation for the new construction. Most of the bails are still on the outskirts and we decided it was our best place to shoot.

Walking over to the area we wanted to work in we noticed for the first time the drainage improvements that had been made. There are a vast array of drainage ditches that lead into a small bayou. We popped down into the bayou and took a few more photos. It was perfect and even blocked some of the wind so Shannon wasn't as cold. We tried several different poses and as you will see by the cut list tonight many of the shots had merit. At the end of shooting, I recommend a pose for Shannon to try and she scoffed at me. She said since she was on an incline it was impossible. I urged her to try and we both got a good laugh at the attempt. I was able to capture some of this laughter on film and they make for some great candid shots.

We had a great time working outside today. We caught the end of the day and the photos were SOC. That is two days in a row without any editing. I love when I can be lazy and not edit. We set out to get a photo with the hay bails and that ended up being the photo we ultimately chose although there was another great shot. We decided that we would just reserve that photo to the cut pile and next time go to the same location to shoot in the newly found spot.
